Estate Agents are NOT Photographers!
Thank you for taking a look at this offer. I used to be an estate agent so I fully understand how frustrating and stressful selling your most expensive asset can be. I also have some inside knowledge on how most estate agents work and why they don’t do certain things. For instance, the only time I ever get hired by an estate agent to take the photos these days, is when they are selling their own property or a property for their family or friends. Why is this? Well, many agents have moved over to a fixed price selling fee model to stay in this competitive race. This business model is one of a high turn over of properties and to sell these properties for as little expense as possible. It really is a race to the bottom for most agents. There are some exceptions but I don’t know of any in this area.
Looking at right move today 14/04/2023 I can see that 95%+ of properties listed have horrible marketing images, obviously taken by the agent with their phone and in a hurry with zero editing done on them. Busy estate agents don’t have the time it takes to carefully edit the images to make the best image possible. This concept is totally alien to them. It is shocking to me that properties, some valued in the millions, are still marketed in this way. In fact I would say that it is a scandal and very unfair on the people who entrust these professionals with their most expensive asset. Imagine an aspiring model asking her friend to take a few phone snaps so she can send them to modelling agency to get work! Or imagine asking your estate agent to take your daughter’s wedding photographs! I think you get the picture.
May I suggest?:
That I come to photo your house on a nice sunny day and provide you with a full set of lovely super high quality marketing images that will make you feel very proud of your home and confident in your asking price. I will fully edit all the images I take and provide you with an online gallery of your images so that you can select which images you want to purchase, if any. The flat rate in this offer is £3 per image lower than my standard rate but not for long. To photograph a full house usually takes about two hours (though I know most agents can do this in 10 mins!) and you will want to get your property ready in advance. I have written some helpful information about this HERE. You can buy as many or as few of the images presented as you like and there is no obligation whatsoever to buy any if you don’t want to. The reason I can do this is because virtually all of my clients who have hired me on this basis have bought nearly every image I ever took for them, after seeing those images compared to the ones the estate agent took.
